1. How do you onboard a new customer?
Why they ask: Process.

Kickoff call to agree goals and success measures. Training and a plan for early wins. Scheduled check-ins in the first 90 days.
2. A key account is at risk of churning. What do you do?
Why they ask: Retention.

3. How do you measure customer health?
Why they ask: Metrics.
How to answer:
Product usage and adoption of key features. Support tickets, NPS or CSAT, and engagement with you. Executive sponsor and champion strength.
4. Tell me about a difficult customer you turned around.
Why they ask: Relationship skills.
How to answer:
What was wrong and how they felt. The steps you took. The outcome: renewal, expansion or referral.
5. How do you find expansion opportunities?
Why they ask: Commercial awareness.
How to answer:
Listen for new goals, teams or pain points. Show the value already delivered, then introduce a fitting upgrade with sales.

Why they ask: Prioritisation.
How to answer:
Segment by revenue and risk. Automate low-touch communication; spend time on high-value and at-risk accounts.
